The schedule includes an array of course topics, including “Spring Maintenance for your Bicycle”, “Kitchen Knife Skills”, “Creating a Business Plan”, and more. In just 60 – 90 minutes, you’ll walk away with a new skill, interest, or hobby you can brag about.

Classes are offered both in-person or live online via Zoom. Check out the full list of Community College Month classes, below. Registration is required for participation, so don’t delay—spots are limited.

About Community College Month

Community College Month is a month-long educational campaign coordinated by the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT). The primary goals of Community College Month are to improve awareness of the economic, academic and equity advantages of attending community colleges, and bust longtime stigmas wrongly associated with public, two-year colleges.

Did you know? Public community colleges:

  • Provide higher education to students with the fewest resources and the greatest obstacles.
  • Are primary educators/certifiers of in-demand nursing and other healthcare professionals.
  • Offer the most affordable high-quality higher educations.
  • Are the most in-demand institutions during and following times of economic recession.
  • Serve the most demographically and socioeconomically diverse students.
  • Guarantee fair admissions for all students.
  • Are there for their communities in times of crisis.

Without community colleges, many students in the U.S. would not be able to access higher education at all. That is why it is important to celebrate community colleges nationwide, and how they benefit communities locally.
