As SAU pivoted to distance learning and virtual content last year, every department had challenges to overcome. From a radio play, to a recorded production and a live studio theatre performance with limited seating and masks, the SAU Theatre Department shook up the way they offered their programming.
This exhibition brings together the production and design work of four faculty and staff members created for the last mainstage theatre production of spring ‘21, Romeo and Juliet. The Shakespearean play was to be traditionally directed by Theatre Professor Daniel Rairdin-Hale but was instead transformed into a three-part web series complete with voice acting and shadow puppets.
