City of Davenport issued the following announcement on Oct. 9.
Gabe’s Dream Team fundraising committee worked hard to raise $600K through grants and donations and today we celebrated the ribbon cutting of the new playground!
Following the dedication today, Gabe’s All-Inclusive Play Village Team will work with Inclusion Matters by Shane’s Inspiration and Davenport Parks and Recreation to establish a community outreach program involving the local school districts to provide inclusion instruction and play opportunities for all children.
“We are excited that Gabe’s Play Village is completed and now open for families to enjoy. Gabe’s Dream Team dedicated themselves to bringing an all-inclusive play space to Davenport and we are happy to help make their dream come to reality,” said Chad Dyson, Parks and Recreation Director for the City of Davenport.
