4.7% of Clinton County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Clinton County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.7% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 1,075 people out of the 46,589 living in Clinton County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Clinton County has increased compared to the 4.4% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Clinton County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 3.9%.

Of the 21,585 people who had a job during that time, 77 were employed in the Armed Forces and 21,508 belonged to the civilian labor force.
