Scott County had unemployment rate of 4.1% in 2021

Scott County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.1% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 3,712 people out of the 174,170 living in Scott County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Scott County has increased compared to the 4% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Scott County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 3.9%.

Of the 86,820 people who had a job during that time, 229 were employed in the Armed Forces and 86,591 belonged to the civilian labor force.
