Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, M.D., currently representing Iowa’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, shared several updates on social media highlighting her military service, leadership values, and recent public engagements.

On September 6, 2025, Team Miller-Meeks posted a birthday message to the congresswoman, stating: "Happy Birthday to Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks! Two days later, on September 8, 2025, Miller-Meeks wrote about attending the Disabled Veterans Golf Clinic Opening Ceremonies in Riverside alongside Secretary of Veterans Affairs Collins: "As a 24-year Army veteran, it was an honor to join @SecVetAffairs Collins at the Disabled Veterans Golf Clinic Opening Ceremonies in Riverside. Miller-Meeks has represented Iowa's 1st District since 2021 after succeeding Dave Loebsack. She previously served in the Iowa Senate from 2019 to 2021. Born in Herlong, California in 1955 and now residing in Le Claire at age 67, Miller-Meeks graduated from Texas Christian University with a BSN in 1976.
