City of Muscatine issued the following announcement on Nov. 10.
What has your Elf on the Shelf been doing since the last holiday season? Are they ready for more mischief? Well your playful little elves are in for a treat because the holiday season is upon us.
This year the Muscatine Art Center will host a Virtual Elf on the Shelf competition.
Keep an eye open for this mischievous elf and take plenty of photographs of the precarious situations you may find him. Email your hilarious photos of the elf doing silly things and hiding in funny places by November 19 to art@muscatineiowa.gov. One photo per day will be posted between November 27 and December 11.
Visit the Muscatine Art Center Facebook page from December 12-17 to view the Virtual Elf on the Shelf photo album and vote for your favorite picture. The photo with the most votes will be announced December 18 with the winner receiving Chamber Dollars to spend at local businesses.
The Muscatine Art Center is located at 1314 Mulberry Avenue in Muscatine, Iowa. Hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Thursday evenings until 7:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Admission is free. Donations are appreciated.
