Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks visited Muscatine County to engage with small business owners and community leaders, discussing the impact of the One Big Beautiful Bill. As a former small business owner herself, Miller-Meeks emphasized her commitment to understanding local concerns and how this legislation is benefiting Iowans.

“Iowa’s Main Streets are the heartbeat of our communities,” said Miller-Meeks. She praised local businesses for their hard work and dedication, stating they deserve governmental support. “That’s why I proudly voted for President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill. It cuts taxes, eliminates red tape, and gives working families and small businesses the freedom to grow and thrive.”

The tour included visits to several local establishments: Wester Drug, Relion Insurance, Carpet One, Bobby’s Asian Restaurant, and Sal Vitale’s Italian Restaurant. Business owners shared their experiences with tax relief measures and pro-growth reforms provided by the bill.

According to Miller-Meeks, the legislation represents the largest tax cut for working families and small businesses in American history—support that she believes Iowa needs. Her visit underscored her ongoing commitment to defending Iowa values and ensuring rural voices are heard in Washington.
