Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks discusses 'One Big Beautiful Bill' impacts

Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, M.D., currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Iowa’s 1st district, has shared a series of tweets regarding "The One Big, Beautiful Bill." The bill is positioned as a significant legislative effort aimed at delivering tax cuts and support to various sectors.

On June 16, 2025, Rep. Miller-Meeks tweeted about the bill's impact on working and middle-class Americans, stating "The One Big, Beautiful Bill delivers the largest tax cuts for working and middle-class Americans in history! ".

Later that day, she highlighted the bill's benefits for Iowa farmers with another tweet: "The One Big Beautiful Bill delivers for Iowa farmers. ".

In a subsequent post on the same day, Rep. Miller-Meeks drew from her personal experience as a former small business owner to emphasize the bill's significance for small businesses. She stated: "As a former small business owner, I know the sacrifice it takes to keep the lights on and payroll met. The One Big, Beautiful Bill delivers the largest tax cut in American history for Main Street because small businesses are the backbone of Iowa’s economy."

Mariannette Miller-Meeks has been representing Iowa's 1st District since 2021 after replacing Dave Loebsack. Before her congressional role, she served in the Iowa Senate from 2019 to 2021. Born in Herlong, California in 1955 and now residing in Le Claire, she graduated from Texas Christian University with a BSN in 1976.
