On June 9, 2025, Rep. Miller-Meeks expressed her enthusiasm for an educational visit from students at Pella Middle School to Washington D.C., stating "Great having students from Pella Middle School in D.C. today as they took their learning beyond the classroom into the heart of American history and government."
The following day, June 10, she voiced her position on fiscal policies concerning sanctuary cities by stating "Sanctuary cities should not be subsidized by American taxpayers."
Later that same day, Rep. Miller-Meeks highlighted her support for the One Big Beautiful Bill Act with a focus on expanding financial support for families through tax credits. She stated "Raising a family is the most important job I’ve ever had. Mariannette Miller-Meeks has been serving in Congress since 2021 after replacing Dave Loebsack and previously served in the Iowa Senate from 2019 to 2021. Born in Herlong, California in 1955 and currently residing in Le Claire, she graduated from Texas Christian University with a BSN in 1976.
