Grassley Redlines President Biden’s Budget Proposal

Washington – Senate Budget Committee Ranking Member Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) criticized President Biden’s FY 2025 budget proposal, calling it irresponsible and short-sighted. Grassley expressed concern over the budget's impact on Americans and the economy, stating that it would lead to severe long-term consequences.

According to Grassley, the budget includes corner-cutting measures to bypass congressional spending caps and could result in significant financial burdens for American families. Grassley highlighted the administration's fiscal and regulatory decisions, blaming them for economic challenges faced by households.

“This administration’s irresponsible fiscal and regulatory record have wreaked havoc on our economy. Thanks to Bidenomics, families will pay thousands of dollars more every year just to cover higher costs of living. Meanwhile, President Biden plans to shelve tax relief for hardworking American families,” Grassley stated.

Grassley also raised concerns about the growing national debt under President Biden's leadership, emphasizing the need to address it to prevent further economic harm to future generations.

“The American Dream is farther out of reach with every passing year of Biden’s presidency. We must reverse course and address the nation’s ballooning debt, to rescue future generations from even greater economic harm,” Grassley remarked.

The Senate Budget Committee's main office can be reached at 624 Dirksen Senate Office Building, Washington, DC 20510, with contact numbers (202) 224-0642 for phone and (202) 224-4835 for fax.
