The City of Davenport Community Survey is now open to all residents seeking input on everything from parks and streets to police and fire services. The survey is designed to measure the community’s level of satisfaction with quality of life issues and the quality of City services. The results are used to assist leaders in the budget process. Individuals can take the survey and view previous results at www.davenportiowa.com/communitysurvey.
The biennial survey has been conducted since 2006 with the last survey being administered in 2020.
“The time residents invest in completing this survey will help to influence many of the decisions that will be made about Davenport’s future. The responses will also allow City leadership and staff to identify and address many of the opportunities and challenges facing our community,” said Mayor Mike Matson.
The survey will be open to Davenport residents beginning October 7 and will close October 21. The confidential survey takes an estimated 15 minutes to complete and responses will be sent to ETC Institute of Olathe, Kansas, the company that has been retained to administer the survey for Davenport.
All results remain completely confidential and the City of Davenport will not be informed which residents completed surveys.
Survey questions deal with the level of satisfaction residents have with police, fire, parks, public works, communication, and more. ETC Institute will compile and deliver the results to City leaders and staff. Results from the survey are anticipated to be publically available in the month of December. Additionally, the results will be shared at public forums during the upcoming budget cycle.
