City of Davenport issued the following announcement on Dec. 1.
Klipsch recognized the company, company president Michelle Magyar and long-time employees Roy Sandercock, Lois Wallerab and Carol Moritz at Tuesday’s City Council meeting.
Mid-American Glass became an independent glass and metal fabricator on July 1, 1987, when co-founders Lou and Joyce Magyar purchased the branch operation from PPG Industries. Michelle Magyar joined the company after graduating from the University of Iowa in January, 1988 and was named company president in 2012.
Mid-American Glass is an independent fabricator of glass and metal products for the residential and commercial glazing industry from its new $6.5 million, 30,000 square foot production facility and office space at 1545 Rockingham Road. The company employes 60 people.
