City of Davenport issued the following announcement on Nov. 2.
From the Festival of Trees to Christkindlmarkt to Icestravaganza and with so many events in between, Davenport is the best holiday river town, so go nominate the city at

The contest is sponsored by River Travel magazine and is looking for the best holiday towns along the Great River Road, from northern Minnesota to the Gulf of Mexico. Nominations run until Nov. 21, with voting from Dec. 2 to Dec. 20.
