In a post from October 13, 2025, Miller-Meeks described her experience at a local event: "Tonight’s “Iowans Supporting Israel” dinner had an inspiring speech by Yoni Diller, taken hostage on Oct 7, and was even more poignant as @POTUS is enroute to Israel where he will address the Knessst and it is expected the remaining 48 Israeli hostages will soon be released."
Later that day, she criticized previous promises made regarding health insurance premiums: "Obama promised premiums would go down $2500 - Democrats are covering up their failures in the Un-Affordable Care Act, instead of working to fix the problem."
In another post on October 13, 2025, Miller-Meeks reflected on efforts to secure the release of hostages: "For two years, I’ve called for the release of every hostage and met numerous times with hostage families praying for this day. Today, after unimaginable pain and patience, all living hostages are finally home. A historic day, and it’s all thanks to @POTUS's leadership and"
Miller-Meeks has represented Iowa’s 1st district since 2021 after previously serving in the Iowa Senate from 2019 to 2021. She was born in Herlong, California in 1955 and currently resides in Le Claire. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Christian University, earned in 1976.
