Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, who represents Iowa’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, addressed a range of issues in a series of posts on September 11, 2025.
In an early morning post, Miller-Meeks expressed concern over comments reportedly made by an Oskaloosa teacher. She wrote, "I’m disturbed by a post from an Oskaloosa teacher celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk and calling him a Nazi. Cheering political violence is always wrong - and should NEVER be done by those who educate our children. I will be contacting the superintendent and https://t.co/8URbZkV2Rd" (September 11, 2025).
Later that day, she marked the anniversary of the September 11 attacks with a commemorative message: "24 years ago today, America was attacked. In the face of unimaginable loss, we saw heroism, sacrifice, and unity. We honor the fallen, we remember the heroes, and we remain steadfast in our vow: we will never forget. https://t.co/ixY3Olnvlr" (September 11, 2025).
