On August 27, 2025, Miller-Meeks expressed condolences regarding an incident in Minnesota: "Heartbroken by the horrific shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis. Miller-Meeks has served as a member of Congress since replacing Dave Loebsack in 2021 and previously held office in the Iowa Senate from 2019 to 2021. She was born in Herlong, California in 1955 and currently resides in Le Claire. Miller-Meeks earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Christian University in 1976.
