Mariannette Miller-Meeks shares experiences from Iowa State Fair on social media

Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, M.D., a member of the U.S. Congress representing Iowa’s 1st district, shared several updates from the Iowa State Fair on August 15, 2025.

In her first post of the day, Miller-Meeks described an experience at the Linemen Rodeo: "Got the best view of the state fair from the top of the 100ft bucket truck at the Linemen Rodeo. Always been on my bucket list! Thank you @IBEW and @ITCGRID for making it happen." (August 15, 2025)

Shortly after, she posted about meeting Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds: "Great running into my friend @IAGovernor Reynolds at the Linemen Rodeo! " (August 15, 2025)

Later in the afternoon, Miller-Meeks noted another encounter at the fair: "Ran into a constituent from Mount Pleasant while in line to get a delicious ribeye sandwich from @IAcattlemen!" (August 15, 2025)

Miller-Meeks has served in Congress since replacing Dave Loebsack in 2021 and previously held office in the Iowa Senate between 2019 and 2021. She was born in Herlong, California in 1955 and currently resides in Le Claire. Miller-Meeks holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Christian University.
