On July 3, 2025, Miller-Meeks criticized fellow politician Hakeem Jeffries in a tweet stating: "While Hakeem Jeffries continues putting people to sleep with his lies about the One Big Beautiful Bill, we remain focused on delivering historic tax cuts for families and small businesses, secure borders, and energy dominance." This message underscores her commitment to economic measures she believes will benefit families and small businesses.

In another tweet posted later that day at 13:46 UTC, Miller-Meeks provided specific details about the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act," saying: "The One Big Beautiful Bill Act cuts federal taxes on overtime for our brave correctional officers. You put in the hours to keep our communities safe, you should keep more of what you earn." This emphasizes her support for law enforcement personnel receiving tax relief for their additional work hours.

Miller-Meeks has served in Congress since 2021 after replacing Dave Loebsack. She previously held office in the Iowa Senate from 2019 to 2021. Born in Herlong, California in 1955 and currently residing in Le Claire, she graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 1976.
