Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, M.D., a U.S. Congress member representing Iowa's 1st district since 2021, recently shared insights on the One Big Beautiful Bill through her social media platform. Her posts highlight the bill's focus on healthcare, public safety personnel, and economic benefits for families and farmers.

On July 3, 2025, Rep. Miller-Meeks tweeted about the significant investment in rural healthcare infrastructure: "The One Big Beautiful Bill makes a historic $50 billion investment in rural hospitals across Iowa and the country."

Later that day, she emphasized the bill's support for public safety workers by reducing taxes on overtime pay: "Our police officers and firefighters work long hours and overtime to keep us safe. The One Big Beautiful Bill delivers real relief by reducing taxes on that overtime pay, ensuring our heroes keep more of what they put in the extra hours to earn."

In another tweet from July 3, Rep. Miller-Meeks highlighted how the bill aims to benefit various groups within society: "Our farmers will keep their land. Our families will keep more of their paycheck. Our kids will have a brighter future. That’s what the One Big Beautiful Bill delivers."

Mariannette Miller-Meeks has served in Congress since replacing Dave Loebsack in 2021 and previously served in the Iowa Senate from 2019 to 2021. Born in Herlong, California, she is now based in Le Claire and holds a BSN from Texas Christian University.
