The U.S. House of Representatives has passed the final version of President Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill Act, following its approval by the Senate. The legislation is now on its way to President Trump for signing, fulfilling a key aspect of the America First mandate. This act aims to secure the border, protect American workers, and make permanent the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.

Representative Miller-Meeks expressed her support for the bill with a statement: "Today, the House delivered on the mandate given to us by 77 million Americans and passed President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill."

She highlighted that this legislation will prevent what she described as "the largest tax hike on Iowa families and small businesses in history" by solidifying the permanence of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. The bill also includes measures such as reducing taxes on tips and overtime, doubling the child tax credit, offering a $6,000 tax break for seniors, revitalizing manufacturing jobs in America, and restoring energy dominance.

Miller-Meeks criticized previous policies under Joe Biden's administration: "After four years of crushing inflation and high energy costs under Joe Biden, this bill delivers the relief hardworking Americans deserve."

Additionally, she noted that it addresses border security by ending catch-and-release practices, completing border fencing projects, and increasing personnel with necessary resources to combat crime and drug trafficking.

On healthcare provisions within the bill, Miller-Meeks stated: "This bill strengthens and preserves Medicaid for those it was intended to serve: children, pregnant women, seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities." Furthermore, it allocates "$50 billion in new relief for rural hospitals serving communities like ours."

Miller-Meeks concluded her remarks by calling it "a once-in-a-generation victory for the American people," expressing her anticipation for President Trump's endorsement just before Independence Day.
