Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks expressed gratitude towards former President Donald Trump, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin, and Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins for issuing an emergency waiver to allow the sale of E15 fuel this upcoming summer. This decision is anticipated to alleviate costs for Iowa residents and enhance the biofuels sector in the United States.

“I’m proud to have worked with President Trump, Administrator Zeldin, and Secretary Rollins to deliver summer E15 for Iowa," stated Miller-Meeks. "But Iowans deserve permanent, year-round access to E15. That’s why I introduced the Nationwide Consumer and Fuel Retailer Choice Act to guarantee affordable, homegrown energy at the pump—strengthening our farmers, lowering prices, and unlocking America's energy future."

Throughout her tenure, Rep. Miller-Meeks has been a strong advocate for year-round sales of E15 across the nation. Earlier in the year, she introduced the Nationwide Consumer and Fuel Retailer Choice Act, collaborating with a bipartisan group of legislators. The proposed legislation aims to permanently extend the Reid Vapor Pressure waiver, thereby eliminating seasonal limitations on E15 sales. This measure is projected to reduce fuel costs, boost rural economies, decrease reliance on foreign oil, and provide support to farmers in Iowa. Complementary legislation was also introduced in the Senate by Senators Deb Fischer and Tammy Duckworth.
