Men more prevalent than women in Muscatine County in 2021

Of the 43,145 people living in Muscatine County, Iowa in 2021, 49.8% (21,479) were women and 50.2% (21,666) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by River Bend Times.

Data showed the average age for men in Muscatine County in 2021 was 39 years, lower than the national average of 40 for men.

According to census data, men aged 18 and over outnumbered women in the same age group by 558. Meanwhile, in the 65 and over group, there were 3,251 men and 3,837 women.
