June Star Party on June 25

102

Beginning at sunset (around 8:41 p.m.), St. Ambrose University opens its observatory to the public for a night of stargazing.

Another Moonless night perfect for deep-sky objects. No planets at all until around midnight Daylight Time, when Saturn rises. Jupiter follows about two hours later if you're willing to wait.

Visitors may use the observatory's telescopes or bring their own. This event is free of charge.

For more information, contact Robert Mitchell at 563-333-6141 or visit the AmbroseAstro Facebook page. On the day of the event, the same number may be called for a recorded message that will either confirm the event or report a cancellation.
