Republican Party candidate Mark Cisneros won his District 91 bid, defeating Kelcey Brackett of the Democratic Party.

Cisneros posted the numbers on his Facebook page, appreciating the support he received.

“Final numbers: 8074-6102. 57 percent. I am grateful and thankful for the support and trust the people of Muscatine and Fruitland have placed in me to be their voice and vote in the State House.

"I’d like to praise Almighty God, who strengthens me, and thank my wonderful wife Bridget, and our children, who always stand together with me and help me. And our dedicated team of volunteers, who have been tireless in getting my message to the people.

"The entire Republican Party, both state and local, and my fellow candidates, have been a great and United team...I want to recognize the support and advice of Rep. Gary Carlson, and I will strive to provide the quality service he has to our District. And Sen. Mark Lofgren, a strong public servant, whom I look forward to serving with."

He thanked his opponent Brackett, assuring Brackett’s supporters he was there to serve all.

“For those people who supported my opponent, I will always welcome and listen to your concerns. Thank you to Mr. Brackett for offering voters a choice. My platform of family values, lower taxes and less regulation, and support for economic development and agriculture will guide my service.” he said.

Brackett conceded defeat.

“While I’m disappointed in the results tonight, I’m incredibly proud of the campaign we ran this cycle to bring responsible leadership back to the State House.I want to thank  my family, friends, volunteers and staff who helped power our campaign. It’s been an honor to get to know more about the people of HD91, learning what’s important to them, and understanding how we can make life better for everyone in our community.  I look forward to continuing to be an advocate for our community in the years to come,” he posted on his Facebook page.
