Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks has expressed strong support for efforts to rebuild American industry and reduce reliance on China. In alignment with former President Trump, she emphasizes the importance of revitalizing domestic manufacturing to bring jobs back to Iowa and the nation.

Miller-Meeks stated, “Under President Trump’s leadership, we are putting America—and American manufacturing—first again. Whether it’s medical supplies, semiconductors, or steel, we must never depend on Communist China for what we can make right here at home.” She highlighted the significance of restoring jobs in Iowa and strengthening supply chains as a matter of national security and self-reliance.

According to Miller-Meeks, U.S. investments and trade agreements totaling over $5 trillion have been secured under Trump's administration. This has led to a resurgence in American manufacturing across various sectors.

In Congress, Miller-Meeks is active in legislative efforts aimed at bolstering domestic production capabilities:

Her ONSHORE Act simplifies federal review processes to facilitate critical manufacturing projects in the U.S., including rural areas in Iowa.

The bipartisan Diagnostics Testing Preparedness Plan Act (H.R. 1108) focuses on enabling the U.S. to produce diagnostic medical tests domestically during public health crises.

The Improve Employer-Directed Skills Act (H.R. 2690) aims to assist Iowa employers in collaborating with workforce boards for worker training tailored to local business needs. A version of this bill was incorporated into the Stronger Workforce for America Act with bipartisan approval.

Additionally, her Critical Infrastructure Manufacturing Feasibility Act (H.R. 1721), recently passed by the House, instructs federal agencies to identify rural communities suitable for expanded domestic manufacturing operations.

Miller-Meeks's background includes 24 years as an Army veteran, work as a physician, and experience as a small business owner. She remains committed to advocating for American strength and opportunities throughout Iowa and beyond.
