Census Bureau: 77.9% of people in Cedar County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 18,494 citizens living in Cedar County in 2021, 77.9% were old enough to vote, equating to 14,402 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 7,096 were male, constituting 49.3%, and 7,306 were female, making up 50.7%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Cedar County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 76.7%.
