Spriggs named CCAC Player of the Week | St. Ambrose University Athletics
A career effort has earned St. Ambrose University's Will Spriggs (Jacksonville, Fla.) Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week honors for the seven-day period ending Dec. 25, the league office announced on Tuesday morning.
A junior guard, Spriggs put up 34 points in a 97-89 setback to Trinity International University last Tuesday. That was just one of his personal-best marks set on the day. The other came on defense, where he recorded seven steals.
Spriggs finished the contest hitting on 15 of his 27 attempts from the field and 2-of-6 three-pointers. He also converted a pair of free throws. Adding to his all-around performance, he provided six rebounds, five assists and one block.
St. Ambrose is 2-8 on the season.
