Timber Lake Playhouse to Open Playhouse Doors on May 7th for 2022 Concert Season

Timber Lake Playhouse (TLP), the premier professional summer theatre of northwest Illinois, opens its 61th Concert Season on May 7 at 7:00 with the Rock River Jazz Band. Rock River Jazz Band is a 16-piece Big Band composed of professional musicians from northern Illinois. Rock River Jazz Band plays Big Band, Swing, 50-60's Rock, Pop, Waltzes, Polkas, Mambos, and a little bit of Country.

On Saturday, May 14 at 7:00, Felix and Fingers will return to the playhouse. This dueling pianos show is an All-Request Show performing songs from Sinatra to Gaga, Bublé to Bieber. No two Felix and Fingers shows are the same.

 

Thursday, May 19 at 2:00 brings A Rock n’ Roll Tribute from Elvis to the Beatles featuring The Neverly Brothers back to TLP. You will be led on a guided tour of rock history complete with vintage wardrobe, stories, and a multi-media show for this Magical History Tour.

 

Blues In the Woods featuring three great Midwest blues performers comes to TLP on Saturday, May 21. Kevin Burt the 2019 Blues Music Award nominee and triple International Blues Challenge winner, Birdog Blues Band, a Madison-area group with multiple award-winning musicians, and The Russ Green Band are featured. Concerts begin at 3:00 and continue throughout the day.

 

Concerts continue in the fall with Hair Band Night on August 27, The Six One Five Collective on September 3, Midnight Rider – An Allman Brothers Tribute on September 24, Detroit Rock City – A KISS Tribute Show on October 22, The Blooze Brothers on November 5, Boy Band Night on November 12 and Britbeat – A Beatles Tribute on November 19.

As a part of this season’s Concert Series, TLP has scheduled two Movie Nights. On October 15, the Disney movie Hocus Pocus will be shown at 7:00 in the playhouse. On October 29, TLP will again be showing The Rocky Horror Picture Show complete with costumed actors and RHPS call-backs. Tickets for Hocus Pocus are $10 for adults and $5 for ages 14 and under. Tickets for the Rocky Horror Picture Show are $15. Prop bags can be purchased for $10.
