CITY OF BETTENDORF: Veteran's Day Schedule

City of Bettendorf issued the following announcement on Nov. 11. 

In honor of Veteran's Day, City Hall will be closed on Wednesday, November 11, 2020.

There will be no collection services on November 11. All collection services including garbage, recycling, bulky, and yard waste will be moved one day later in the week to include Saturday, November 14. Items should be placed at curbside by 6:00 a.m. For more information call 563-344-4088.

Bettendorf Transit will offer free fixed-route transit rides to all Veterans the week of November 9-14, 2020. Additional information regarding transit routes and schedules is available at www.bettendorf.org.

The Library will be open 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., with Select Service Hours continuing during the first hour of operation for vulnerable populations and those 65 yrs. and older.

Family Museum open 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Normal class schedule.

Life Fitness Center will be open from 5:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Palmer Grill will be open 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.  Enjoy a Veteran’s Day breakfast for $2.00 with 2 eggs, bacon/sausage and toast. The Grill will also offer a cheeseburger basket for $7.75 with choice of side.

Palmer Hills Golf Course will be open, weather permitting.

A Veteran's Day ceremony will be held on Wednesday, November 11 beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the Veteran's Memorial Park shelter, 1645 23rd Street. Mayor Gallagher will be one of the speakers. The keynote speaker will be announced at a later date. Cookies and coffee will be available. Masks are strongly recommended.

Over twenty new names have been added to the memorial since last year and there are now 913 names. Four new names have been added to the donor stone to recognize the people or groups that have contributed to the Memorial Endowment Fund.
