CITY OF RIVERDALE: Meeting Notice: Regular City Council Meeting (03-10-20)

City of Riverdale issued the following announcement on Mar. 7. 

A regular meeting of the Riverdale City Council will take place on Tuesday evening, March 10th at 7pm.  The meeting will take place in the Council Chambers at Riverdale City Hall.

Among the other issues to be considered and discussed by the City Council:

Presentations to the City Council include:

    • Reports by the City Administrator, Fire Chief and Maintenance Department
    • City Engineer’s Progress Report on a variety of projects
    • Status Report from Woods Construction & Development
Resolutions addressing the following:

    • Consideration of a Proposal to Address Erosion in the Drainage Way off of Fieldcrest Road (Fieldcrest Phase 1 Drainage Work)
    • Consideration of a Proposal to Establish a Utilities/Sewer Commission for the City of Riverdale
    • Consideration of a 28E Agreement with Scott Community College for a Joint Contract for Lawn Mowing Services
    • Consideration of a Proposal to Engage a Consultant to Assist the City in Hiring Full-time Staff
    • Consideration of a Proposal to Purchase New Knox KeySecure System(s) for RFD Fire Trucks
Discussion of various items include:

    • A third and final reading of Ordinance #2020-01 – Changes to the Positions of City Administrator, Clerk, Treasurer, Mayor
    • An update on the Parks & Trails Needs Assessment Project
    • Next steps on boundary fence construction and creation of directional signage along the MRT in Riverdale and entrances to Riverdale currently located in Bettendorf
    • Status of IT Upgrades being made by the City
    • Staffing City Hall – review of public meetings held since the last City Council meeting (February 25)
    • Progress report on FY 21 budgeting
    • Update on the status of the TIF agreement with Arconic
    • Review of the Campus Master Planning Workshop at SCC on March 3
    • Announcement of Citywide Clean-up on April 18
    • Discussion of Staff Reporting formats
    • Expected census activities of note in March and April
    • Call for volunteers to help with the Riverdale Egg Hunt (April 4)
    • Plans for Tour de Brew (May)
